In 2022, UK export of goods increased by 64.4% and services by 35.6%%. The UK has steadily been among Estonia’s top 10 trade partners and there is potential for growth in both physical goods and services. The UK and Estonia are like-minded countries in most respects and English is widely spoken, making it easy for UK companies to work with local partners. Furthermore, Estonia serves as a gateway to the wider region including markets in Scandinavia, the Baltics, Central Europe and Asia. It is the geographical midpoint of Northern Europe.

There are opportunities in many sectors, particularly supply of business services, intellectual property, `telecommunications, computer and information services, transport, tourism. For goods, the top five exports are: telecoms and sound equipment, generators, specialised machinery, electrical goods.
