Rooted in Hillingdon. Ready for the World.

One of the standout benefits of being a Hillingdon Chamber member is this one, because it can save your business real money.

As an HCC member, you can access international trade documents through the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) at their member pricing. LCCI is the UK’s largest trade documents issuer, and their member rates mean discounts of up to 50% on many documents. That’s a significant saving, especially if your business trades internationally on a regular basis, and it’s yours simply by being part of our Chamber community.

Getting your paperwork right when trading internationally isn’t just good practice, it’s essential. Accurate documentation keeps your goods moving through customs without delays or costly hold ups. LCCI’s team of specialists are on hand to make sure you have exactly what you need, whether you’re an experienced exporter or just starting out.

Here’s what you can access:

Customs Declarations

Since January 2021, any UK business importing or exporting goods to and from the EU must declare their shipments to HMRC. LCCI’s customs declarations team covers sea, air and road freight and are experienced across a wide range of sectors.

UK Certificates of Origin

If you’re permanently exporting goods to non Arab countries (as well as Egypt and Iran), you’ll need a UK Certificate of Origin. LCCI can also handle any additional commercial documents needed alongside it.

Arab-British Certificate of Origin and Arab League Legalisation

Exporting permanently to Arab League countries? This is the document you need. Again, LCCI can process any accompanying commercial documents at the same time.

ATA Carnet

If you’re taking goods abroad temporarily, to a trade show, exhibition or demonstration, the ATA Carnet is your best friend. It’s an international customs document that allows duty free and tax free temporary import of goods for up to a year. LCCI has a dedicated team to guide you through the whole process.

EUR1 Movement Certificate

This one is for exporters looking to claim preferential, usually zero, rates of duty in the destination country. Your goods need to originate in the UK and the EUR1 needs to be correctly completed and endorsed. LCCI can help you get it right.

Legalisation Services and Special Certificates

LCCI can also help with legalisation of commercial documents through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, as well as Special Certificates including Trading Status Certificates, Force Majeure Certificates and International Import Certificates.
